Indus Valley Civilisation Monetary System

INDUS VALLEY CIVILISATION CURRENCY DESIGN
To create a monetary system for the Historic Indus Valley civilisation in replacement of the barter system of exchange.
The currency is called ZEBU which comes from the zebu bull which was deemed very important and valuble for the agricultural Indus society. The figure on each note is
based on the value and importance of their seals of the particular creature. The visual
on both the sides have been created in association with each other. During the making
of the notes my goal was to move away from the existing image of the brown terracotta and stony visuals of the excavations and re-imagine it as a more bright and colourful economy resulting in the choice of this specific colour palette.
